About me and us
For several years, I has been designing and making original jewelry made from Baltic amber, Baltic amber and black oak. In my products, I try to maintain their high degree of naturalness, often only revealing the beauty of nature. Therefore, very often You will find amber stones with partially or completely left external surface, natural holes, traces of weathering processes or glacier movements. I present my products live every year at the Dominican Fair. My husband, Michał, helps me in my work and deals with obtaining and grinding raw materials. Taking care of the quality of the raw material, we catch amber ourselves and with the help of our friends in the Baltic Sea coast, mainly in the Bay of Gdańsk. We obtain wood from the Bieszczady Mountains.
In our workshop we only have natural amber and natural, chemically unmodified black oak. We do not create amber products from amber waste (pressed amber) and we do not use an oven or autoclave to heat or irrigate amber (treated amber). One of the reasons for using natural Baltic amber is the desire to preserve the healing properties of amber, which loses succinic acid as a result of thermo-chemical processing. For the same reasons, we do not use fossil, dried amber from mines in Poland and Ukraine.
We are natives of Gdańsk (downtown). Our goal is to cultivate the centuries-old tradition of amber craftsmanship in Gdańsk. In our workshop, we use classic machines for raw material processing, such as: a debarker, a drum, a balling machine, a water saw, a grinder, a water grinder, a horizontal drill, and a band saw. We do not use self-repeating devices and we do not carry out mass production. We also offer raw Baltic amber and amber with marked inclusions. The prices of our products result from the labor and time-consuming costs as well as the size of the elements used. Hence, we have a wide range of prices, both around PLN 100 and above PLN 1,000. You can also convince yourself of our authenticity in another way. New products in our offer always appear periodically. Their time placement is directly related to the raw material obtained and the workshop's capabilities.
